Those that receive enough support will be presented for approval to the Little League board and tournament committee in August, he said.

One of the proposals discussed would allow players to register in any Little League program and not be required to provide proof of residency or school enrollment.

Leagues would be responsible for verifying ages. A player would have to obtain a release to switch leagues.

Hamilton’s West Side Little League has been doing this for a number of years. They are down to 6 teams in their majors and only play games 4 days a week. Friday-Sunday is for travel and they now take kids from most areas around Hamilton as no one else plays Little League any more. The league basically is in operation to run their all star teams. Pretty shameful what has gone on. All three of my sons played there and it’s sad what has become of it.

We still have 8 little league teams in our lil D3 town so that's a plus. LL has only ever played in tue and thur here and some local weekend tournaments.

Our little town once had a 72 team city little league tournament. Just to offer some perspective on being down to six teams. WSLL purposely cut their league down so as to have one league and therefore one charter to better their all star participation.
