Tracking Brett Wackerly

From a lot of people i hear that Coach Macdonald doesnt play freshman the first game much so they can see the atmosphere and get used to it, im sure ---- be helping the griffs before we know it...besides hes just a freshman, its a rocky road for them all year!

I dont know what they run...but i saw the boxscore of last nights loss to St.Bonaventure, Wackerly had 21 minutes, 3 assists, 3 steals, 4 pts, 3 rebounds, so its looks like the coach is learning to trust the freshman, hopefully he can work his magic up there like he did here!

Should have seen him at West Virginia, he did very very well. He played 20 mins, he went in at the 11 minute mark of the second half when they were down 32, with 1 minute to go they were down 6, heard he was scoring, dropping sweet no look passes....kids the real deal, and that was on number 23 in the country west virginia!

Here are the official stats for Brett for the UWV game.

Played 15 minutes
5 points
1 rebound
1 assist
1 turnover
1 foul
Final Score 80-68

Nice showing.

There's still a long way to go to get to the NBA!

Coach Wackerly said on 1/17/06 they are playing Niagara at 7 P.M. and the game will be on ESPNU. Will be glad to get a glimpse of him. Good stats from the WV game....wish there had been more room on the bus. Heard all had a great time.

His shooting will come along as he gets more PT...

Better than a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio.

Remember folks he played less than this in his freshman year in HS.

yeah heard next year is a definite starting spot for him, especially with the new coach (bc you know hes gonna outwork all those guys anyway). But i was walking the track and i was watching him shoot, he made 7 3's in a row behind the volleyball line, crazy! I also heard hes putting up around 205 or so on the bench press, thats much stronger then he was in high school i would think, i just cant wait for next year to watch him blossom just like he did in high school!!
