The Unusual Tale of the SWO (Mason, Ross, New Richmond) City Record in the 4 x 200 relay

Withrow had held the record since 2015 1:26.03. First Moeller broke the record becoming the first area team to go under 1:26 with a 1:25,99. Then the following meet the Crusaders bettered that time with a 1:25.68 but La Salle's Koy Beasley ran down the Crusaders anchor man with a 1:25.43. Moeller had three weeks to get their record back but couldn't, so La Salle ended up with the record.

Was this the only Cincinnati city record boys or girls set this spring?

Yes. The boys' 110mH of 13.71 by Glenn Terry (Sycamore, 1989) was taken down by Malachi Snow (Northwest) in heat #1 at State with his 13.69 (+0.4 wind) on 2 June.

I didn't see any of the girls' records beaten. However, I think the 100m girls will go down next year...possibly the 200m as well. This year's juniors in the D1 sprints are a killer crop.
