first match tomorrow against wadsworth at ridge top golf club in medina. tee-off at 11:30. wish us devils luck!

FINAL: wadsworth 217, tallmadge 227
overall i was impressed that we only lost by 10, but we should beat them when they come back to play us at our course. i feel semi-responsible because i played crappy. there were definitely 10 strokes that i shouldn't have took! if i didn't go OB on hole #4 then that cuts it to 8 :/ i'm sick of my coach making me play #1 when i do NOT have the confidence to do it. i'd like to give you all the scores but it's usually done by last names and i'm not sure i'm too comfortable with that idea (even though it's in the beacon journal)... so here's by #'s

What happened and why the lack of confidence? I am sure all of the yappsters here are confident in your abilities and maybe your coach is trying to build confidence in you by showing that he/she has enough in you to make you the #1. It was only the first match and now that you have it out of the way just chalk it up as a learning experience and get them next time. Hopefully the next match is against Green as I always like to see them taste defeat as well

i read in the paper green had a 196 yesterday. we can't compete with that. the lack of confidence is just because i KNOW i do bad at the #1 spot, but my coach insists that i am the best golfer on the team, and being a senior he looks to me for leadership. he made me be #1 last year as well, and i was a junior then so what was his excuse? there's too much pressure on me as the #1. in any other sport i always wanted to be the one depended on, especially basketball. but in golf, it's different.
