Any updates on the SLA? How are things looking just a couple months away from the first game?
 
A little preview/review of Tallmadge basketball:

They graduated 4 Seniors:
Ty Hurst - starting guard
Collin Dixon - starting forward
Caiden McCullough - didn't play due to injury
Brennen Murray - part-time starting guard

Other starters:
JR Kaden Davis - Started every game, leading scorer.
SR Noah Jascoe - part-time starter
SR Joey Ewers - part-time starter
JR Caleb Reifsnyder - part-time starter
JR Paul Rusinko - part-time starter
JR Talan Natcher - part-time starter

Other Varsity players that had decent playing time:
SR Ryan Eisaman
SR Jake Taylor
SR Vito Paonessa
SR Zach Vanko
JR Ryan Loveless

Not sure if Natcher and/or Paonessa will be playing this year. Kaden Davis was 1st Team All-Suburban League American. Noah Jascoe was Honorable Mention. Ewers started on JV last season but ended up starting Varsity at Center the second half of the season. There was alot of movement in the starting lineup last season and this season could be a repeat as the talent is spread evenly throughout the team. Kaden Davis will be the focus for other teams' defenses to stop.

Not sure about any other Juniors or Sophomores getting any varsity playing time. Have heard the name of a Freshmen that might get a chance but that is not from anyone close to the team.

Looking forward to the SLA. It's wild that Barberton is changing so drastically. I thought they played hard last year but they struggled with their shooting. Bringing in a couple players (or more) could really change their trajectory for this year.

Barberton will be much better, Akron East will be much worse 😉.

I would look for Kent to be pretty good this year. They have the right coach in place for longevity and some nice players. Jack Smith will be a nice player for them. Transferred back to Kent after being at Stow for 3 years. Didn't play hoops at Stow last year but will be a nice combo guard for them.
 
Seems like this should be a good year for the league overall. 5 of the 9 top players are back this year including the POY from last year.

Watched the Tallmadge game on youtube the other night and the one thing I took away from the game is that Tallmadge either A develope another scorer or B hope that Davis does not get hurt. Alot of the time the 4 other kids on the floor appeared to defer to Davis even if they had a wide open shot. This may be the way the coach wants his offense to run but I would think that would make it very easy to defend Tallmadge. Hopefully one of the other players will either step up or be allowed to get more involved in the offense.

This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
