STOP paying people not to work - NOW!!

Were are talking a percentage point or 2. It's back up to roughly the average since 1950. 63.3% total before the Pandemic 62.2% now. This isn't some great crisis! 62.6% August 2018. The sky is not falling. People are working.
Tell that to a business owner. 2% is a lot when talking about 100 million employees and a 4% decline compared to 20 years ago. There are many more companies in the US today compared to 20 years ago. Yes, it is a crisis and the govt. either does not care or has no clue how to solve the situation.

You posted the workforce particpation data. Why don't you break down the data that you provided. The vast majority of the difference between now and 2019 is woman with kids who have not gone back and over 55 men. It's not governments job to make those demographics go back to work if they don't want to. The demographic you all love to bag on is within .3% of the high in the last dozen years. African Americans.

People who can afford not to work shouldn't have to if they don't want to, that is up to them. People who get govt. benefits and either are not working or working just one job and getting govt. benefits take those benefits away. Work 2 jobs if they have to or a get a better job just quit depending on the taxpayers to survive, hunger is a good motivation to work.

So do you think that over 55 men and woman with children who worked pre pandemic and never went back are sucking all the welfare? I thought it was lazy blacks that are doing that?

Report: 7.2 Million Prime Working Age Men Not Working

CBS recently spotlighted the more than 770,000 U.S. job openings in manufacturing, while examining the factors behind roughly 7.2 million American men of prime working age (between 25 and 54 years old) not working or looking for work. Watch the video.

According to the report, economists attribute the lower workforce participation rate to a skills mismatch, applicants with criminal histories, and ongoing government "safety nets."

Check out this graph comparing labor force participation rates of various age groups since the start of COVID-19. At the end of 2022, the rate for no age group had fully recovered to February 2020 levels, although the 25-54 group was closest. 2/14/2023

Enemies of the United States, foreign and domestic, started it with the release of the corona virus. And domestic enemies have continued to perpetuate it by going full-on socialist. We now have an entire generation of spoiled losers sitting on their couch while the rest of us are working to just keep the country afloat a little longer.

WAKE THE FU ____ UP

We have over 10 MILLION open jobs because the 20-30 year olds won't work / don't know how to work. Labor participation rate at a historic low.

Get in the game.

45 year low (non-pandemic) is a historic low.

........ and no progress in a year.

Numbers do not lie.

And to think we were clicking on every metric just a few years ago.

LOL. Now you say non pandemic. Show me the problem is 18-30 year olds.

The problem is 20-54 white males. Get off your a**.

2019: $63 billion in spending on food stamps
2023: $127 billion in spending on food stamps, despite 11 million jobs available.

This spending should be far, far less than in 2019 with the jobs available, but when you do bidenomics, you do socialism.

A result of letting millions upon millions illegally enter the USA since Gravybrain sounded the all-clear signal to come on in.

Who can receive SNAP benefits?

Many people may be eligible to receive SNAP benefits, including single adults, families, seniors, and working people. Eligibility is primarily determined through household income and expenses. • Working part time or for low wages;
 • Receiving welfare or other public assistance payments;
 • A non-citizen that meets other qualifications;
 • Elderly or disabled and are low-income; or
 • Homeless.

86 percent of all SNAP benefits go to households that include a child, elderly person, or person with disabilities.

 • 1,491,300 Ohio residents, or 13% of the state population (1 in 8)

Right now, the latest data shows that we have 9.9 million job openings in the U.S., but only 5.8 million unemployed workers.Jun 9, 2023

Also correlate with Red Counties:
To be fair, They are all a shade of red on that map.

The interesting thing though is that when it comes to something like SNAP, Democrats aren't making it about Blue or Red. It's just people. Conservatives make assumptions that it's lazy Democrats, but it's not the case and Conservative areas and people benefit as much or more than Liberals.
