My thoughts:
- Who voted for Lakota West #1?
- LW is higher in the state poll than St X and Oak Hills, but those two are ahead in the Regional Poll.
- What has happened to Centerville?
- At this point I can only see four teams taking home the D1 crown, with the top two being HEAVY favorites. Those four being, Moeller, Darby, Eds and Elder.

My thoughts:
- This is going to be a fun tournament
- Wide open, no clear-cut favorite
- Scratching my head to the fact that Fenwick has 14 first-place votes, but is 2nd in the poll. Did a few coaches mistakenly leave them off?
- The Regional Final matches are going to be intense, especially in the North and South.

Fenwick will probably move up with Mt. Vernon's loss to Gahanna Lincoln. An undefeated record (11-0) is impressive even if competition has been limited, including a 3-2 (18-16 in the 5th) win over LaSalle and a 2-0 (25-21, 25-16) win over 9-2 DeSales.

St. Eds travels to Ignatius, beats them in four and still is behind in the North region poll...interesting. At least state poll has that right.

Both state polls look a lot better this week. Not sure how Darby got 2 first place votes, even though Moeller defeated them. I know it was a close match, but still they lost. The D1 poll will get some validity this weekend, after the Centerville Elite. I believe Moeller, Darby, Elder, St. Eds, St. Iggy, Northmont, St. Xavier, and Centerville will be the teams participating. More so looking to see the results from the middle first round matches: one between St. Eds and Iggy and the other by Elder and Northmont. Should be interesting.

D2 has it right with Fenwick on top, and even more certain since they defeated Elder last night. They should have all the first place votes until they are defeated by a D2 in my opinion. Mt Vernon lost 3 straight and still received one first place vote---not sure why. Even though Fenwick has some big wins, they have had a lot of close matches as well. I think D2 is wide open for a team that gets "hot" to win it all.

Assuming that's how they are seeded. I know that is where they stand I the state poll, which is usually the basis for seeding purposes. I'm not sure they will matchup Eds and Iggy in a 1st round matchup, but I could be wrong.

Elder has defeated Northmont already this season and Eds has already defeated Iggy. I'm interested to see how close X can get to Darby. I don't expect them to win a set, but X played Moeller to a 27-25 game at Moeller.

Still scratching my head as to how Darby is sitting behind Moeller after beating them on a neutral court last weekend?

Does seem a bit odd after Darby arguably has the more impressive win in the contests between the two squads... more recent, neutral court, and won in 4. No matter, the Panthers will get an opportunity to show if they are really the number 1 team in Ohio.

The polls have been updated with the number of first place votes. Moeller received 10, but Darby received 11. So multiple teams had to leave Darby out of the top 2 or top 3 to have them be behind Moeller. I guess that's what happens when you have opinion based polls like this.
