Note that the poll closes BEFORE the Saturday games, so this is for games through 09/25/09.

Note also that each of the ten districts are only permitted to nominate three teams each for statewide poll consideration. Kind of makes it weird when you have 4+ really good teams in one district (e.g. Akron D1 District where Jackson gets the shaft, because Medina, Walsh & Cloverleaf were the three for consideration).

Interestingly enough, Cloverleaf replaced Jackson at #10 in the D1 voting, and the two played to a 1-1 tie on Saturday. But if we (Jackson) win THIS Saturday, I guarantee you we'll be back in the top ten in the 10/12 poll, as we play #3 Walsh. :)

Go Colts! It is good to see the Colts getting some respect. Jackson and the Colts should both be in the top ten.

My money would be on Cloverleaf or Jackson against any of the teams 1-9. That rule is kind of stupid and makes the poll somewhat meaningless. How many other teams across the state "get the shaft"? Thank goodness for the playoffs! Go Colts!

I'd take that bet when it comes to Walsh vs. "Leaf. The Lady Warriors played an awesome game today in beating us, 2-0. They are, as usual, really, really good.

No surprise that they've made, at least, the elite 8 every year, so far, this decade!
