Well, now that the truly incredible state champion season from the Bombers has now ended, I only saw fit that there should be discussion about next season. Anyone know what schedule is looking like? Anyways, here is projected depth chart:

QB: Wolf, Hudepohl
HB: Fox, Payne, Hundley
WR: Wittrock, Specht, Shamsi, Kreimer?
OL: Kirby, Dirksing, Mohn, Deters, ?
DL: Mesue, Bacevich, Coffaro
LB: Childs, Kiessling, MacDonald
CB: Marocco, Kreimer?
S: Adair, Kirby, Newmann

QB, Receivers and Dline look experienced but other than that it appears to be as many new starters as they team has seen in a while.

Aren't you a Moe guy KSpade? Sacrilegious to put out a depth chart before Reload on this board.

I do comment on both forums but I have immense respect for both programs. My son goes to St. Xavier, but I was a Moe graduate. I know it sounds odd (almost the same as being a fan of Ohio State and Michigan). I'll always be a Crusader, but I really think St Xavier has been a great home for my son. I know the depth chart does look weak, but I've only watched one JV game so I'm not knowledgeable on the junior class and below.

So you mean well but didn't realize that nothing is official until ReLoad says it is.
It seems the Crusader side of you wants us to move on from the 2016 season and start talking about 2017 already.

Fat chance

St. Xavier Bombers 2016 Ohio Division 1 State Champions

Warren Central is off the schedule and from my understanding, so is Mentor? Who will be the week 1,3, and 8 replacements?

That's better. Even I can appreciate this. GBM

Good question. Specht has talked about getting more local opponents. If I were choosing I would like an out of state nationally ranked team week 1, a GMC school week 3 and Trinity or St. Ed's week 8.

An out of state team 2 state borders removed at Nippert in Crosstown Showdown (8/26/17), Walnut Hills at StX (9/8/17) and a team from another country at StX (10/14/17)

It's nice of Walnut (obvious relationship there) to give us that game. Although I am sure it is as much about necessity for them as anything else.

So we have to go Canada this year in week 8? Is Canada Prep Academy going to play a full schedule next year?

When will they lift the embargo on you telling us the Crosstown Showdown opponent? Given your description, we are looking at Illinois (not likely), Tennessee (possible), Virginia (not likely), New York (not likely), Maryland (possible), NJ (possible), or Delaware (nope).

I see....looking forward to your unique perspective then Kspade...glad your son is doing well. We're all better when our GCL brothers are successful.

Thanks for the support. I know this forum may be considerably more fun than on Moellers since Moe fans typically post something once a week

So a team is coming from China to play? Now that is one heck of a road trip. :)

Well, I can't say I am particularly happy about either of the "surprise" games. Can't remember the last time any Illinois or Chinese or Canadian school was considered any good. Looks like the schedule humpers will have their way with the Bombers this year.

Chinese teams are typically huge Harbin cows

It is just Hinsdale Central HS. Not a Catholic school.
