The Crew dropped their youth program (Crew East, Crew West, etc.) and are only moving forward with the DA teams. Sporting Columbus is the new club that spawned from that with all of those former players.
You have to wonder if dropping the youth set up is a precursor to them leaving for Austin. CUSA broke their affiliation with them too last spring and are re-branded as something else this year.
