Softball Team in State Semifinals!

Gee, and you would think a HOOVER poster would start this. Holy cow Viking friends - where's your team spirit? :D

Anyhow - congrats to the Vikings softball team - they have now reached the state semis and will play in Ashland on Thursday night at 7pm versus West Chester Lakota. Best of luck to the Vikes and their superstar pitcher, Jessica Simpson!

conflicting reports on start time thursday...paper says 7, OHSAA.org says 530...anyone know for sure?
 
Yes the first pitch is at 5:30.
I can't be there but go get that championship girls.

Lacross team playing for a State championship and Ana Kidder at the State meet for long jump. GREAT way to end a sports season for the school and THE WHOLE COMMUNITY !

Congrats to all the student athletes. We are all behind you and very very very proud of you all to get into the "elite" category of State competition.
 
WHBC will have the girls softball game on radio today...broadcast starts at 520, first pitch 530.
Go vikes.
 
Hoover wins 4-0 over Lakota West, scored all 4 runs after 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th. Simpson allowed just one hit/baserunner the whole game (1 out in the 1st) and retired her last 20, she had 11k's and had once again solid defensive play behind her.
