I can't believe that Watterson played so close with Whetstone. They have fallen on hard times really fast.

Watterson: had 17 players and didn't run a JV last year. reap what you sow.

Yeah, for sure. That's a major issue. And they don't have a JV this year.

I think teams are starting to understand that JV B/Freshman teams really help sustain success. It gets young guys A LOT of playing time which is pretty crucial for public school teams where a lot of guys have never played before.

Watterson will be without a program in a few years if they keep refusing to form a JV team.

Fun 1st Game at Elder. Moeller stormed out to a 15-10 lead. Elder responded, got even and took a late lead 23-22. Teams each traded a couple of game points and Jake Luebbe with the roof to end it 28-26.
 
Looks like Elder has taken over control for the #1 seed in the South tonight.

It'll be interesting to see how Saturday plays out in Centerville.

DeSales handled St. Charles last night, but it looks like SC put up a decent fight towards the end. Not sure if that's because DeSales put in their back-ups or just lost focus.

Walsh took DeSales down pretty hard today in the Tri at Mt. Vernon. They are the best team in the state based on resume thus far without question.

DI is between Elder and X based on the C-ville results. Should be a fun year for DI especially if Moeller and Darby can get a little better between now and tournament time.
