Kyle Adams may be the most underrated running back in the state of Ohio. He played for a 1-9 Hoover team and gained around 200 yards (?), but this is largely due to a weak offensive line producing microscopic holes game in and game out. He is headed to Ohio Wesleyan, and is projected by many to be an immediate success as a product of their system. I figure him to be right up there as one of the best backs ever to play for Hoover. Some of you may disagree now, but little do you know he is on the merge of a breakout. At 200 pounds before track season he was timed running a 4.49 in the 40-yard dash, and he has been tearing up the weight room.

Are you kidding me he was horrible. he was so scared of contact he would not hit a soul. i think that even as a captain he had a hard time getting on the feild. he was moved around to 3 or 4 differant positions on defense, none of which he was any good at. he may be fast and weigh 200 lbs, but a football player he is not!!

I am not trying to put Kyle Adams down. I am simply stating what I saw, not only this last year but the 2 yrs prior as well at the JV level. I am sure he is a great kid and he has a great work ethic, but to say he is one of the most underated Rb's in the state is not an accurate description of his his abilities. Good RB's make holes where there are none. I agree the O-line was not very good, but good RB's make poor o-lines look mediocre or servicable and great TB's make servicable lines look great. I wish Kyle all the luck in the world, but he is far from great, he may be seviceable at best.

deuce...youve been drinking to much koolaid...nobody on that team needs talked about as far as football "talent"...if you wanna talk about his grades or character go ahead...but there wasnt much talent on display this past season...a sad display for the community, school and great coaching staff.
another thing...ive heard some players complaining about taking heat for last season...guess what you deserve it. are we turning into soft wimpy Jackson over here? any self respecting North Canton boy could not be satisfied with thier preformance this past year.

C'mon, y2h, don't make a comment like that after the season you just had. As a nearly life long Polar Bear with many ties to NC, I love Hoover and our rivalry, and cheer for NC all the time, when we're not playing y'all. Last season WAS a terrible season. The key word is "WAS" - put it in the past, buckle up the chin strap and move on to a new season. Don't keep fighting with each other over stuff in the past.
Think of it people. McKinley had 2 seasons of 3-7 seasons then comes back to become state runner-up. What Hoover has to do is start off well this year. Last year they lost their confidence after the first couple games and that really hurt them. If they win their first two games they could have had a spectacular season. That is probably why their non-league schedule is weaker this year than in years past. They need confidence. If they lose one of their first couple games it will be a different season from their out if they were to win both.

And for crying out loud - for any Viking players that may read this - DON'T GIVE UP if the season does start to fall apart. It was quite obvious during our game last year that that had happened, when I watched - numerous times - kids just stand around and watch the play fall apart if they were more than 10-15 yards away from it. It's much better to give it your all and end up with a poor record than to give up and end up with a poor record.

The entire team sucked this past year. That includes the two of us. We worked hard but we just didn't have the talent throughout the team. We didn't have close to the talent we had the past two years. I've played football since 6th grade and it was easy to see this coming. Our class has never had a winning record in football, at any level. It was a totally different atmosphere this past year. You need to accept the fact that you and Adams aren't as good as you think you are and you'll never be your brother.
Hertler will get it back together in the next few years. There's certainly talent on the way up.
ok sexron you can think whatever the ---- you want about me and im not gonna say anything else about that. but its different when someone says the class last year got what they deserved. its kind of funny. this past year's senior class never partied once last year ever since a couple months before school ended going into that summer. 1 kid partied 1 time since then, and he got arrested. thats it. that may have put a bad name on the class but who knows. this class worked harder than ever in the weightroom and never partied because of football. ive talked to kids from almost every school around here, and they all partied all throughout the summer and many throughout their senior season. all past hoover teams have partied. not this class. the class of '04 got what they deserved. yall can go to ----. whatever you wanna think, but there were athletes on the team.... maybe not that many and not like alex ramsey but ----.. and they were dedicated. this team has been getting shat on for a while, but aside from the jackson game at least the team gave effort. just like the hoover coaches, why doesnt the whole town just say ---- it and disown that whole class because they were "wastes" and it was all their fault and they GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED

you totally missed the point...look at your basketball situation...your boys cant take the heat.
North Canton has always had hard nosed kids...i sure hope they arent turning soft like Jackson.
instead of whinning and complaining about fans criticizing you, get in the weight room, work harder and be mentally tougher.
youll get there if you want it...its no coincidence the record went from 10-0 to 1-9...we went from maybe the Hoover team with the most heart ive ever seen (not the most talented team but fought, scratched, clawed and it took 12 weeks to beat them) to the most lacking in heart Hoover team (giving up in games, most notably Mck and Jackson)

im sure there were players that worked hard but as a group i just didnt see it...the team actually got worse instead of better. i think there was an undercurrent of an attitude problem from some and it affected the whole team. the life less effort i saw in most games last year was not Hoover football.

OK I am moved on but i was simply making a thread to support a kid who's been through tough times and has been taking a lot of crap from everyone that is not deserved. this thread was about kyle adams, who is a tough kid, and i guess you can say a great rb can produce on his own. however, a good rb needs some help sometimes from his o-line and he didnt have that at all. good luck to next years class. and they will succeed because they are running a 5-wide set from the beginning (thank God because I dont know if the line is improving... good luck to Net tho at qb because he will not have as much time as he'd like when throwing the ball)...

y2h, i agree the team didnt give its all as a whole throughout the season... but if you knew anyone personally from the senior class, you'd know they worked hard throughout the summer. everyone tried to follow the act of the previous class, it just didnt happen, its over, and now next year's class has a chance to become the FLC./\
sexron, thats funny i should stay away from roids because believe it or not, being 155 pounds and one of the top lifters on the entire team, i never took any supplement, let alone roids. its a sad story how you linemen couldnt bench more than a skinny wideout... squish me like a bug haha callin me out thats funny.. start ---- with me and tell me your name since you know me and "know" you could take me. i dont care who you are.
