i susually just like to go with the baseline then i fill in ...really paying attention to vocals last ...then fills ... then determine how simple or complex of an arrangement it is ...seems like ratm is pretty simple ..drums are starigght forward and the guitar player uses wah wah effects ...anyone can do that ..it goes together nicely..dont get me wrong ..im just not that big of a fan

well..ok ..not anyone ..but alot of other guitarists in oher bands could play morello's parts ..its not as if he is all over the neck like joe walsh or something ... i actually think the base player in Rage is very good ...keeps the band together ...

Well, as bass is a rhythm instrument, its purpose is to keep the band together, along with the drummer.
