question for HS coaches

How many of you tape your games and watch them with your team?
Most schools struggle to keep accurate stats or even league websites updated. Even fewer video tape games.

With that said we had a large press box at our stadium and would set up cameras to video games 2008-2014.
It was not the best quality (with the exceptions of the ones shot by waycross media that had a whole crew and 3 cameras). The only angle we had was behind home plate about 20 feet in the air shot with a palm camera but it was better than nothing.
One thing we would review is opposing pitchers college recruiting videos. It helped to ID tendencies with specific pitches as many had both practice film and game film clips to review and actually made a difference in several contest during the playoffs and in league games.

I think it is great when a parent or family member uses a GoPro from behind homeplate and lets all the other parents watch it. Our school is fortunate as we have two videographers that cover the Varsity and JV.

We watch the games back right when we get home and continue to watch them through the long Winter months. Not sure if the HS coaches watch the games but I assume they do.

We have tried using students from the AV club or whatnot in the past but it never worked out. I still like our GameChanger setup but this season, we are also having one of the Hudl camera's installed like everyone has seen pop up at football fields and gyms the last few years. It will be nice to be able to schedule the camera to record ahead of time and not have to worry about it.
