Just a quick note to all that love and follow their high school sports. Remember that the athletes, coaches, officials are all doing this because they have an interest and passion for the sport. This isn't pro sports, it's not even college. For most of the athletes you'll see over the next few months, this will be the end of their organized sports careers. Some do it because they are looking to play at the next level, some are out there just to have fun and be with their friends. Every night when you go to a game, there will be a winner and loser on the scoreboard. Remember that. Not everyone wins. The winners are those who put everything they have into "trying" to be successful. That's what will make them valuable pieces of society in a few years.
Officials will make bad calls. Most are doing this as a side job, not for the money. Coaches have alot of decisions to make in the course of games and how to handle players. As a parent it's much easier to be supportive than a downer for your kids sports experiences.

Have a great season! And remember, it's just a game.
