PAC7

Minerva. Carrollton. Mogadore. Coventry. There are also informal talks going on between Manchester, Mogadore, and Rootstown that would create a league of former PTC and PCL schools so the PAC could lose another school. Fairless and Tuslaw are looking to leave.

Thanks for the info. I did not know so many schools were not happy with the league. The only drive I did not like was the Cvca trip . Orrville and Triway join the Wcal for a ten member league .

The league is a mess. The commissioner was in Florida from November to March. Just got back so no progress has been made.

We did hear that now that Dial is coaching at Tuslaw, Dalton asked about joining. Would be a chance for them to pay back both him & Tuslaw for screwing up their schedule.

There is also a proposal for a 2tier big/small league where the PAC would accept Massillon, Wooster, West Holmes, Coventry and Cloverleaf. Hoban & Walsh have expressed interest in joining if they go with this format.

Portage Co is really excited about trying to get another small school league created. But since all of the small schools are so poor & they can barely stay open, they need a few outside the county schools to help lift them up. Manchester is getting a new school & stadium so that's very attractive to the Portage Co folks who either don't have or just got metal bleachers a few years ago. This is the Panther's first time being Mary after decades of being Rhoda (sorry, old tv reference. Mary = pretty, Rhoda = not so much) so they're flattered & considering it.

If the league doesn't go with the big/small version then it's almost a done deal that Mogadore will join. They're going to ask Kidron Central Christian to join as a soccer only so the league can still claim 'school diversity.'

More than likely Fairless is gone. They've slowly been dropping bread crumbs about their displeasure with having to play sports 1) outside of 25 minutes from Brewster 2) less than 5 minutes from a gas station/McDonalds 3) against schools that take their sports 'too seriously' 4) overly religious schools who care about their soul 5) vs schools that have more kids than they do or 6) don't look like them. Think what gave it away was when they built their new school, they sold several buses and bought a fleet of 10 person ATVs to use as school transportation in the winter.

Northwest & Canton South have a lot of suggestions on who could join the league, but no one trusts their opinion since both schools have been a part of so many failed leagues before.

No decision is likely anytime soon. Triway doesn't come to any meetings in the spring because they're too busy run ruling teams in softball and Orrville is out recruiting more fired WCAL coaches to hire.
