Ohio State wins B1G track title

Nice job by the Lady Buckeyes. Interesting to note is the Pendleton sisters triangular discus meet with the oldest two throwing for Michigan and going 1-2. Baby sister, Carly, throwing for OSU placed 10th.

On another note - OSU STILL does not know the difference between MT & FAT

Unbelieveable for an organization the size of the mighty OSU Buckeyes, but they STILL do not know the difference between manual timing (MT) and automatic timing (FAT) when it comes to listing their school records. Check out the following link:

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...df/2011-12/misc_non_event/MTRK_recordbook.pdf

Note that Jesse Owens 10.2 MT from 1936 is listed as if it were FAT. Also, they've also got Owens' long jump record not only 1/2" longer than it was(26' 8 1/4"), it was also set in 1935, not 1936 as listed. Owens set 4 world records that day (May 25) at the Big 10 Championships at Ann Arbor, MI, and was a WORLD RECORD at the time of the performance (lasted 25 years). Good grief, this is all WELL-ESTABLISHED information widely available on the internet and numerous other places. Who is compiling statistics at OSU? One of the most historic programs in the history of the US collegiate system, and they don't even know EXACTLY what their history is?

Note, they also don't have dates listed for 9 of their men's records. Incredible.

Earth-to-OSU: Here's a nice little link on Jesse Owens. Lots of good information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Owens

Maybe if the football players were not getting free tat's, the athletic department would not be distracted and thinking about other stuff.

Being sarcastic. Yea, the official records should be posted correctly.

Head coach Karen Dennis wins B1G coach of the year, Christina Manning has won the track athlete of the year and Alexis Thomas was awarded the field athlete of the year.

Alexis Thomas (Wayne High School grad) set the B1G meet record in the hammer (212ft).

Christina Manning is currently 10th in the world in the 100H (12.68).

Karen Dennis took the women's program which was, frankly, a joke, and has turned it into one that has won 3 of the last 4 conference championships.
