Only my dislike for the Wildcats (1-5) coach is the reason I am happy to see that North Carolina (5-2) won this contest. Neither team looked very good but the Tar heels looked more of a team than the Cats did. The Cats looked like a group of hyped individuals playing. The winners hit 42.6% of their shots, while the losers hit 39.6. Leading Kentucky in defeat was Davion Mintz (Charlotte, NC) with 17 points and 8 rebounds. For North Carolina leading the way was Armando Bacot (Richmond, VA) with 14 points and 8 boards.
