Maybe, just maybe, they're starting to turn the corner. Not sure. But what the board and newspaper failed to state was the amount of letters and emails of support that have been sent to the school board.

That's what I don't get. Usually when people start pulling the name-game card its on a team that sucked overall, and certain players thought they could have been better if only others played more. But these girls were starters and league honorees on a successful team. Seems to me like if anything they benefitted from whatever he was doing, as well as the team as a whole. Just a weak argument, and for Parkway's sake I am glad they rehired the coach.and they were ALL league players???
It's situations like these that make me wonder how many more years high school athletics will have. We already see the official shortages and coaches getting the same treatment from players, parents, & etc. When will travel/club just take over? That's what I don't get. The problems go back to at least junior high.the parents of one of the girls who spoke against the coach were brought to the school at one point last year for a meeting with some school leaders about the problems they were causing. that same girl also quit the volleyball team midway through the year because she didn't like her role on that team either.
So right. If even the successful players are complaining there is an issue. In this case I don't think the issue is the coach or the school, but parenting. It just seems to me that parents now a days always believe what their kids say and take their side in every situation. It is not necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes to high school sports it almost always is. I've never met a coach that got into coaching to play name games and screw over certain players, but I can see as a young high schooler it seems that way at times. That moment is where parenting needs to step in and push their kids to accept responsibility for whatever perceived slight from the coach. Did I resent my parents sometimes when I was younger for never taking my side, yes. However, I am 100% certain it made me a better person as an adult. Kids need to learn they are not fault-proof and that they can in fact be wrong at times. It's situations like these that make me wonder how many more years high school athletics will have. Not directly MAC related, but Fort Loramie starts conference play in the NWC tonight with Crestview coming to town. Will be interesting to see how Loramie will compete.Ill get off my soapbox now. Anyone expecting anything surprising this evening occurring? Seems like everyone is going straight chalk.
I was at the meeting and was in awe of what was coming out of the young lady's mouth who spoke against Coach Stover. Basically her frustrations stem from her freshmen season (The roster was stacked at the time) when she didn't start varsity right away but did very early in the season. She was told at the time that she "had to earn her spot". She had to let everybody know her stats from that year and how it was absolutely stupid that she didn't start right away. Fast forward to her junior season, when the coach's niece was a freshmen (Team was not like it was in 2021), she was given the "leadoff" spot without having to "earn" it. BTW this girl she's speaking of is the type of athlete who is going to be picked first in any pickup game of any sport. Meanwhile, she continued to spout about the mental abuse this takes on her while also touting her own stats and league honors, without once mentioning the success of her teams. That's what I don't get. The administration is the same way as those that brought it up. Remember my mother & almost all of her 1st cousins went to Parkway. A prior situation was fueled by hard feelings from HS by an admin towards an individual from what I was told. Once that generation is out of admin/school board, I think you will see vast improvement. It may be just wishful thinking though with Parkway.I was at the meeting and was in awe of what was coming out of the young lady's mouth who spoke against Coach Stover. It's disgusting and it's a 100% parent problem. There were several there in support of the young lady. It happened to be the following people:
Wife (Current Girl's High School Basketball assistant coach) and Daughter (Current Player) of School Board MemberDaughter (Current Player) & Daughter (Former Player from 2024) of School Board MemberParents of the young lady who sent the "anonymous" letterParents of the young lady who spokeVarsity Girl's Wrestling Coach (Daughter JV Softball player) - Who was supposedly written up earlier in the spring for a nasty post about the JV softball coach about her daughter not getting playing timeParents of a JV softball player who also were not happy with the playing time of their daughter
For them to all continue putting a certain family through the fire like this is infuriating. This family helps coach a ton of youth sports & Varsity sports because they love Parkway and are trying to better this situation. The individuals listed above are in their own bubble and honestly are the only ones in support of this crap. The rest of the community stands behind the family & the coach. Parkway struggles enough but now even winning isn't enough. It also doesn't help that the worst administration in the state of Ohio resides in that brick building. With strong leadership, this crap never gets to this point. It's a very sad state of affairs but show's how a minority crowd can nearly get their way and misrepresent an entire district.

I'll agree if the Leeth kid is out. He's a real player but went down in the first possession of their 2nd game vs McComb. If he plays it will be a good game. They'll dominate.
marion local oh fan.Hudl.comAre any of the MAC games being streamed online tonight
Crestview rebuilding year. Loramie isn’t good. Leeth is out and Crestview took them to the wire. They did knock out Penix or Crestview possibly marches for the win. I wouldn’t put any faith in Loramie finishing better than 3rd or 4th at best in the NWC.They'll dominate.

28-21 FLscore?
FL 28 Crest 21 I think FL led 28-7 at one point.score?
It was 13-7 at half, 21-14 after 3rd and Crestview had a shot at the end to get someFL 28 Crest 21 I think FL led 28-7 at one point.
In reality, there are probably 4-7 legit teams in the Paulding, Van Wert, Mercer, Auglaize & Northern Darke County areas. Marion Local, Coldwater, Versailles, Minster, New Bremen, Anna (add in Shelby), & Wapak. Quite a few good to average with Fort Loramie & Crestview. Then you have the bottom with Parkway, Wayne Trace, Fort Recovery, and DJ to name a few.Crestview rebuilding year. Loramie isn’t good. Leeth is out and Crestview took them to the wire. I believe that is Goodwin's first 70 point game.Ouch ML 71 DSJ 0 last night
The NWC might sound a little better after that.Ouch ML 71 DSJ 0 last night
Yep first one. 'Twas a good run while it lasted.I believe that is Goodwin's first 70 point game.
It's about time he joined the 70pt club.Yep first one. 'Twas a good run while it lasted.

I know its true, but I cannot full wrap my head around this. To me Goodwin has always been an incredible sport and does not try to embarrass people if he can prevent it, so from that standpoint I get it. But for him to be coaching at that high of a level for ~25 years and never once dropping 70 on some bad teams in shocking.I believe that is Goodwin's first 70 point game.
Didnt look at the box score but to get to 70 in the RC era is tough and I imagine quite a few big plays, defensive, ST scores as I presume the ST14ners ran it basic come late in the 2nd.I know its true, but I cannot full wrap my head around this.
