Big time win for Minster tonight. Anna has a good team, the game seemed closer than the score. Anna will win a lot of games this year.

Minster just showed they are a tier above. Contained Anna’s offense well tonight. Really impressed by the defense tonight against a good MAC opponent! And offensively put some good points on the board.

Cant wait for the rest of the MAC schedule.

If St Hank plays as inspired as they did tonight, they will win quite a few games as well. They made ML work for everything we got. Forced some very bad turnovers and ML just couldn't get a rhythm going on offense until midway through the 3rd qtr. I think Werling has them on the right path.

Shame there'll be no "Backyard Brawl" this year....and on the 50 year anniversary of the MAC

looked like BOTH teams defended the run pretty good..the Steiners held to 105 yards rushing.. and the Skins with 58 yards rushing!!!

game will be replayed on WOSN throughout the week...

Was kind of surprised by the Versailles DSJ score. Off night for Versailles or is DSJ very much improved? Was DSJ’s rb able to come back in the game later?

Delphos has played us very tough the past few years

Also, like everyone else, Versailles has a couple key injuries

I haven't seen the stats but Versailles was the better team in the 1st half. Even with #46 in the game, Versailles was stopping Delphos 's rushing attack. But he is a big back and he could have worn on the Tigers if he could have been able to keep pounding the rock. I hope he can return to playing soon. Since DSJ couldn't rush the ball they turned to throwing and was successful in one drive at the end of the half. Aided in a penalty by a Versailles player celebrating with his teammates after he sacked the QB on a 3rd and 10. Hats off to DSJ for taking advantage of their new series on down and completing the drive with a TD.
Tigers did have a lost fumble and was interecepted in 1st half.
DSJ has some nice linemen and their team is well coached. Good discipline fundamental football.
Versailles was exposed that there missing the explosive running QB. DSJ keyed on RB and made it hard for line to block 9 in the box. QB1, Wilker, can run some and can throw the ball. This will have to be more of the Tigers offense in the coming weeks.
Tigers did have a starting safety and explosive offensive utility player get hurt and not return to game.

Oh boy, this blurb from the Standard website did it's job by making me want to go and buy a copy, but I probably won't remember to buy one.

2 ex-athletes slam Parkway softball coach

ROCKFORD - Parkway school board members on Wednesday unanimously voted to rehire varsity softball coach Trey Stover, seemingly putting to rest concerns they would go in another direction.

The coach was unanimously rehired by the board. The two that spoke against the coach seem to have a personal vendetta and exaggerated several points.

the parents of one of the girls who spoke against the coach were brought to the school at one point last year for a meeting with some school leaders about the problems they were causing. that same girl also quit the volleyball team midway through the year because she didn't like her role on that team either.
