The Miami Marlins' home opener against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night has been postponed, as coronavirus cases continue to pop up among the team.

Eight more players and two coaches with the Marlins have tested positive for the coronavirus, as an outbreak has spread throughout their clubhouse and brought the total cases in recent days to at least 14, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN.

How are you supposed to deal with this:

"Another concern for Phils: Due to incubation period, tests they are taking today and tomorrow might not show whether they were positive from contact yesterday. Team supposed to travel to NY tomorrow night, but how confident can players be knowing results will not be up to minute?"

Anything to cancel sports and make the population more miserable. FFS, 99.99% of ppl survive this. All of this panic is politically driven. Those a holes in Portland & Seattle can riot every night and nobody says a word about their complete lack of social distancing

As I said back in March, the best plan was to play every game in Arizona spread out between the 10 Spring Training stadiums, the Dbacks stadium and ASU's stadium. It would allow for twelve night games to be held at a time plus three morning games or something. People complain about the heat, but 110 in AZ is no worse than 95 and humid in Cincy/Atlanta/DC like it is now. Probably way too late to go ahead with it now

So far it's worked out quite well for MLS and they're playing in Florida

Baseball players are being tested every other day. Of course the positive cases are going to be up. But has anyone been sick, and sick enough to be hospitalized?? No. We now have guys not coming to the park because they don't feel well? Back up a few years. What if your favorite player didn't play tonight because they "didn't play well"??

Scottie Pippin still get hammered for missing a big playoff game with a migraine. Let's just keep moving on here. If a guy tests positive, he sits for awhile. There are 60 players on each roster.

No one can take anything you post seriously because of blatantly wrong statements like this. Pretty simple math. 4.225 million cases, 146,000+ deaths yields a 3.46% mortality rate. So a correct statement to replace your idiotic statement would be:

"Wow, only 96.5% of infected people survive this. Maybe we should take this seriously."
