Not joking in the least.
It's hard for you to understand. You see we have been playing this game since 1894. The heritage and tradition is somewhat inexplicable. The game itself originated in this area. We became the best or most proficient at this game as evidenced by our illustrious pedigree.
By circumstances not of our control, Massillon became an just "above average" program.
We have always prided our selves on having or creating one of the best program, atmospheres, tradition ect.
These are the reasons people cant avoid Massillon threads.
All you had to do was look at La Salle's crowd then look at the Massillon side at state.
Sure you won, but everyone can see the geographical player draw area as well as the financial aid packages that allow pinocchios to cheat the system. Massillon has now developed a program that just may be able to put a little of the "fear of God"in y'all.
Gee, I wonder why mA$Sillon doesn't offer "financial aid packages?" ??

Maybe it's because it's FREE to attend school there. ANYONE can. ?

Jlp, these schools have to recruit. That has become an obsolete concept for Massillon. We draw quality applicants.
Somehow people can’t see why kids would want to play for and parents would want their sons to play for a really good coaching staff that will develop their skills and go above and beyond to help their sons get recruited by colleges. The tradition, stadium, fan base, uniforms, etc. are just a bonus.

They see it and understand MT3 it is after all how they do it also. Just for whatever reason they can’t take being 2nd class citizens in football. Oh well.

Speaking for myself and I’m sure many Massillon fans would agree but I can fully understand why kids want to go to St Iggy, Ed’s, Hoban, and all of the highly successful programs around the state public or private. People want to be put into a position that allows them the best chance to succeed

thought that these discrepancies are so blatant that
these "greater than thou"schools should be ashamed. Massillon has now developed a program that just may be able to put a little of the "fear of God"in y'all.

LOL, the length of the drive had nothing to do with it?

Once again, congrats on winning "the most fans title" and "the most northern based sportswriters title(again), this year 25th!!!!!!!.

as for recruiting..

Recent recruiting violation https://fox8.com/sports/ohsaa-sanct...gh-school-for-football-recruiting-violations/

Thank you for acknowledging all of Massillons accomplishments!
You know as well as I do that the game could have gone either way.
Soon there will be seperation of the two animals. Until then Sampson would love to knock of the goliaths

You just made a case why kids are choosing to play for LaSalle and as a added bonus win multiple state playoff titles.

Yeah I’m saying I understand why kids want to play at successful programs. Good programs don’t need to “recruit”. Massillon doesn’t recruit players and I really doubt any parochials do either. They have programs that attract kids who want to challenge themselves to be better and achieve more than they would elsewhere.

we don’t dislike kids for wanting to play at Lasalle or any other school. We just get annoyed when every time a kid decides to come to Massillon (for the exact same reasons that kids go to Lasalle etc) people call it recruiting but when a kid like the Fox kid from glen oak goes to Hoban it’s no big deal and him just wanting to play for a good program (that’s almost certainly what the reason was). The double standard is what causes the gripes.

Bringing up Munford as your example of “Massillon recruits” is major weak sauce lol nobody with a brain thinks Massillon “recruited” him.
That's because you fail to read what the article said. Tiger fans have ignored this since it happened. The article says "several student-athletes were recruited to attend Massillon Washington by its head football coach, Nate Moore, along with other assistant football coaches and boosters." SEVERAL. It wasn't just about Munford.

One of the several was a quarterback who attended school in Canada. Moore met him at a summer camp and tried to recruit him for Massillon. The Canadian coach was livid when the kid told him what happened. He knew Moore had coached at a Catholic high school in Cincinnati, so he called Moeller thinking Moore was a coach there. Moeller in turn told La Salle about it. The Canadian coach in turn reported the incident to the OHSAA and it was included in the case against Moore. As always, Massillon called its lawyer to take the OHSSA to court. This was not the first time the Massillon sued the OHSAA in court. There was a previous incident reported by news media involving Perry when they accused Massillon of tampering with one of their players. Recruiting has always been a way of life with Massillon. That's why they retain the services of an attorney and that's why Moore surrounds himself with coaches who are good recruiters. Their response is always the same. How dare you accuse us of recruiting with our history, with our winning traditions, etc.

So Moore never recruited until he got to Massillon? Just all of a sudden, in January of 2015 he started to recruit?

Your entire starting backfield.

And just like that this thread goes to he!! in a handbasket. When oh when are the puzz moderators going to man up and ban this lard ?
The moment I try to be reasonable and non defensive and say how it’s understandable kids want to go to Lasalle etc then they jump all over it and attack. Lol their hate will never end regardless of what we say. Idk how the mods allow a few people to ruin what was otherwise good banter...sad really cause eventually Massillon posters are just going to stop getting on here and then this site will have significantly less traffic

Every school has an attorney on retainer. ?
The best part of all of this is you are missing the point about kids WANTING to come to Massillon. No sense in debating with you though, the only way you are getting any info whatsoever are from the trolls up here so you know nothing.

I knew the panties would really start to bunch up as the info started to come out. It’s obvious that they don’t know much though because then ???.

Thank god Massillon not only has attorneys but also 3 black suburbans with armed men that can kidnap all of the kids that end up at Massillon.

Like 50% less it seems like.
The mods on this site are a joke. That point was made last year when Yappi himself had to make a thread just for Massillon fans.
How long did that last ?

Yeah it’s pretty obvious that they have no clue and quite frankly hilarious ??
