The Blaze, Huffpo - shoot even TMZ. No real spin yet, waiting with bated breath for Don Lemon to weigh in here.

The whole mask thing is idiotic. Most around here don't bother anymore.
If I get asked, I'll put it on since Dictator Dewine says we have to, or I just don't go to those places anymore.

With that said....if it is required to wear the stupid thing ya gotta play the game.

Simple really. Dictator has his secret police out there making sure y'all comply and become subservient......

It's r...but we all have to do stupid stuff every day we don't agree with.

so historically the word was used in an offensive manner means it's banned to now use in its correct manner? I can't retard the throttle anymore? yikes.

Is that how it was used? Nope, a poor attempt on your end to justify using an offensive word. Sad that so many support derogatory rhetoric.
So sad so many people are so sensitive they get offended over a word, and are constantly looking to over react and support the rhetoric associated.

There are some words that rational people understand should never get said due to there offensiveness or hatred that is associated with them. You can use any word you want but using derogatory terms shows a lack of character. Sensitive no, empathetic yes.

Jeez, the previous thread had a spat of a poster getting upset that another guy called their doctor along with another poster getting anti-Semitic (posts were later deleted by a mod) in the same thread... ultimately resulting in its closure. This thread is instead about the ethics of using a dated term largely understood to be a derogative concerning disadvantaged members of this society.

It’s mind-numbingly dumb the “outrage” on the original subject at hand, and equally ridiculous is the blowback and subsequent response toward the parties of this incident. The school district at the center of this is receiving threats to its buildings and the safety of their students. There are calls on social media to harass the police department. The woman at the center of this, while she was obviously in the wrong, is having her previous lived struggles and her criminal background exploited in the public forum of the internet and adjacent social media. AD’s are now concerned about possible future incidents that warrant a trespass being filed with a sequence of events similar to what happened in Logan because idiots are making the woman out to be a martyr of their own cause - one divested and independent of the primary interest of getting these games running for the kids.

And now it’s on national news, with an incorrect and abjectly sh—-y narrative change that makes this about “masks” and not the simple fact the woman committed a trespass and resisted arrest. This whole situation is bonkers, and for all of the wrong reasons. And half of it stems from the subject acting like an idiot, with the other half a product of some stupid woman thinking she ‘just had to videotape and post it’ for social media likes. Made a mountain out of a mole hill and in the process a community (who did nothing wrong) is getting caught in the crossfire of a charged flashpoint in our society. A good man’s reputation is destroyed for doing his job.

Let's be fair. None of us should be providing commentary until Clay Travis has weighed in...

If the school followed proper OHSAA guidelines and protocols for the safe return to play and the parent signed and returned the form its pretty much a cut and dry case of she failed to read what she was signing or wrongfully interpreted it to not include her so yeah she would be asked to leave.

If the coach and AD failed to have parents sign and return the form now that opens up a whole other can of trouble that could result in fall sports getting shut down and open the door for her to claim she was unaware of any such policy and or consequences.

Well then Marietta would be the ones in trouble because she was from the visiting team and they would have had them fill out the papers. Logan is in the clear on their side.

Simple really....follow rules.

Been to a few games.
Pretty easy really.....play the game and wear it when you go in. Get some suckers, popcorn, something to drink and then go to your seat.

Pretty much slowly work on the popcorn, suckers and drinks and no one will come bother you.
State wants to play stupid games, I will comply and play my stupid games as well.

I contend the form is for participants and has nothing to do with spectators. It isn't necessary to complete the form to attend a game.

I wasn't upset in the slightest. A little shocked, but never upset.

Common sense could have prevailed in that situation. The school administrator should have had the foresight to see the situation for what it was and realize the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. He SHOULD have just walked away. Again, I am not dying on that hill. It was simply not worth it.

Also, I have been to three games this year and seen HUNDREDS of people without masks on. This ridiculousness is completely unenforceable. The admins are being put in IMPOSSIBLE situations. Thank your boy, your dictator, DeWine for this insanity.

My question for you, Dnis, is would you have worn a mask to watch your son play in the basketball regional finals?

White women around the country should start saying they are afraid of the police every time they leave their homes........

Again.
Follow the rules, as dumb as they may be, and you will be fine. Even if it is a stupid mask. Wear the thing, play their little game, and you can easily take it off when you sit and are eating/drinking.
