Hoban looked like the state-ranked power they are as they dismantled Louisville by 26 points, 73-47.

Hoban jumped on the Leopards from the opening whistle. The Knights' press rattled Louisville into numerous turnovers, and by the time the Leps had called their second timeout of the opening quarter, the Knights were up 19-2 and never looked back. The Leps would tally 25 turnovers for the game.

Hoban was as good as advertised: excellent rebounders, most every kid in the 9-man rotation can handle the ball, and good defense. Hoban's quickness at point guard exploited the slower Louisville guards all night. Hoban was equally effective at hitting the 3 or taking it to the hoop. Hoban shot 46.6% from the floor, compared to Louisville's 28%.

Hoban placed four scorers in double figures, while Matt Schooley was the lone Lep in double digits with 13. Hoban could have likely scored 100 if not for the mercy of the Hoban coaches and their liberal substitutions. Hoban advances to face Buchtel, a 82-73 victor over Fairless.

Louisville finished the season at 6-16.
