High School Teams Spring Trips

Seems more teams heading South early in season to take advantage of warmer temps, aka spring training, after checking some early scores on Yappi. Curious if anyone can shed some light on how some of these programs finance these trips, etc, as one would think such an endeavor would be pretty expensive. I'm sure alot of off season fund raising and planning is a large part of organizing these ventures. For those with personal experience with this, about how much $ is needed, because it sure seems like a great idea for those schools who can afford such it.
 
 
For Tallmadge, I believe it was $500 per player. This was in addition to the fundraisers such as golf outing and reverse raffle.
 
For Highland (Medina)- it’s about $700 -, for a 7 day trip, out of pocket per player after fundraising - Night at the Races this year. Both JV & Varsity are on the trip - warm temps(Florida vs Ohio) outdoor practice and games vs out of Ohio competition. Lots of time for team bonding & memories
