Great game Saturday night Vikings, but now you must continue to focus on the next team.....Twinsburg. I feel that this team has a chance to do some special things, but keep up the hard work, strong mentality and keep on keepin' on.

Any truth to the fact that your RB actually lives with your coach? Heard this and was wondering.
 
Yes he does because his mother moved to the state of Washington to help a family member and she will be coming back. He went to Washington and saw that they dont care at all about football like we do here and his mother allowed him to stay with the coach while she is away.

WOW! That seems a bit over the top in HS sports. I'm sure it must be legal from OHSAA but ethically WRONG. What next year, 3 absolute studs to live with him? What if the young man was a third stringer as a Junior?, bet he doesn't get the same offer. JMO and I bet many people will agree with me.

Alright, your profile says that you are a Green fan. Let me be the first to apologize. Second, I would strongly recommend that you have FAR more important things to worry about like Green actually winning every now and then. I realize that Hoover is the team you WISH you had, but thats just not the case. Nice hearing from you, now get lost!
 
I do believe we win "once in awhile". For the record one player would make the difference for us as well. So with that said tell Mr. runningback that if he wants to live in a "real up and coming community" not a decrepit one to give me a call. Let him know the housing will be about double what he's living in now, nicer playing facility, car, $300.00 monthly clothing, living expense, etc. That should be a better offer than he's got right now and send some other studs to us I think I can find them housing with asst. coaches also. Give me a break on this one...think he'll carry it 50 times this week?

He carries the ball about 30 times a game and Green WITH Erick Howard would have gotten annihilated by Massillon. Massillon is loaded with talent and we limited them to 1 TOUCHDOWN. Thats our DEFENSE, not Erick Howard (he does play linebacker, but does not start). Green with Howard would have been beaten by AT LEAST 3 touchdowns by Massillon. Yes, Green beats about half the teams in your second rate D2 league (I don't even know what it is called at the moment). You will never make the playoffs getting beat by Tallmadge. ANY federal league team can beat Tallmadge on ANY night (I actually respect Wadsworth the most in your league). Trashing North Canton as a city to make your point is pointless. Howard is NOT coming to Green. Green is a decent Division 2 school pretending to be D1. You beat us 1 TIME in a year we went 1-9. I quite frankly would rather be playing Green than Canada or DC scrubs but the results would still be the same. Your boys had a tough season, but don't vent on our boards.
 
Wow, bass10, you are sorry if you are trying to bash North Canton. Im sorry, I even tried to explain to you that this young man's sister needed some help so mom went out there. You know she was living in North Canton up until week 4 of the football season....I sat behind her at her last game vs Perry. Also, if all goes well, his mother will be back next school year. Some people dont have the ability to live like other people in Green or North Canton and I think we should help those people through those situations. Are you saying you are better than everyone? Are you trying to say that Green is a better place to live than North Canton? These communities are basically the same, but NC plays better football.
 
I'd rather be a "poor" person in north canton than a "rich wannabe" from green. It's pretty sad the most famous person from your school is Dick Goddard, the 150 yr old alcoholic weatherman. hahaha
 
History of Hoover vs Green

1999 Hoover 35 Green 14 (28-0 halftime, 35-0 after 1st drive in 3rd qtr)
2000 Hoover 49 at Green 0 (Green 1 first down)
2001 Hoover 37 Green 7 (Green made the d2 semis and still got pasted by 30 by Hoover and allowed over 500 yds of offense)
2002 Hoover 13 Green 3 (Hoover led 13-0 early 2nd qtr then a rain delay, the game was completed and the final was 13-3 the day later)
2003 Hoover 40 Green 3 (yet Green people were trying to say after the game they were the better team)
2004 Hoover 15 Green 18 (Hoover was 1-9, only win was over 0-10 Boardman. Green trailed the entire game until under 2 minutes)

Green had scored a grand total of SIX POINTS in the first half of all the games from 1999 to 2003, 2 fg's. Congrats.

yeh, you guys are just simply the greatest, we bow to you.

However, our coach just moved in 3 kids from out of state, they're all state players but he just wants to help them out so we should be around 500 next year!

First off I grad. From green in 07. For the most part I like Hoover and thinks it a good thing what the coach is doin and the guy who doesn't think it is may be an sweetie but don't bash green cuss of 1 sweetie.

Judging by this post, I can see why Hertler got coach of the year. Anyone that can recognize that a 4th or 5th grade kid will eventually become Mr. Football Ohio would deserve to be coach of the year because that is how long Howard has been playing football in North Canton.

No, it is not ethically wrong. This kid has the opportunity for a VERY bright future with the help of football whether it be to get a college education or if he is really lucky to go on to the pros. It would be ethically wrong to take that away from him by moving him to a school that does not care about football where he will not get any exposure and possibly take away his chance of making a great life for himself.

Actually howard is not the first kid to stay with hertler. The other ones werent such a big deal because they werent stars they were just kids who needed some help because of poor family situations. So to answer your question yes the offer would probably be the same.

You find idiots everywhere, my friend. I just expose them. I have no problem with the whole Howard/Hertler situation. This is a small thing that EVERYONE blew out of proportion. Bottom line is that Green is hosed with Stacy and they will find out soon enough.

So we agree both coaches are about the same, then whats the disagreement? Ones unproven and ones proven (in your eyes and after only 2 years) that he's mediocre at best. Trust me after just one year I'm unimpressed but I'm man enough to give him a chance. Also, awfully easy to call people names here on yap isn't it big guy! I'd test my IQ and college ed against yours any day of the week.

So this thread was lifeless since 1-17 until someone came on here trashing Green (check the thread) as cornpole and trashing our coach, I defend it and you're calling me out??? I'm confused?

Read post #4. And you constantly have to chirp up after the Hoover (and Massillon) folks are defending their school on their thread. Basically, you were the one that needed to let it go when you had nothing constructive to say as a member of a non-Hoover/Massillon community.

Better yet. Let's just close the thread. I cannot honestly see this going anywhere good at this point (so far after the Mass/Hoover game).
