The groom — a 30-year-old Sheffield man — was arrested at his own wedding reception after he allegedly assaulted a guest.
He was charged with persistent disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault, all misdemeanors.
Just after 10 p.m. Saturday, deputies arrived to the 7000 block of Kalahari Drive, where a man who was a guest at the wedding approached an officer and claimed he had been assaulted by the man and others from the wedding party.
The victim said the people who assaulted him thought he said something about the bride.
