Oak Hills simply does not have good football players. Good coaches continue to fail there. This year is no different. There are no kids walking the halls that would help the team. It's simple; average players, with average athletic ability will get you beat every time.
I agree that Oak Hills does not lose that many kids to Elder. Most kids that go to Elder are from Elder feeder schools. However, Oak Hills does lose 2 or 3 kids a year to Elder. Not to mention that LaSalle gets kids, and St. Xavier. Take 6 to 8 good players off your team and you get a bad football team. This does not happen every year but it does happen.
Not anyones fault. Kids and families have a right to choose if they want to go to private school. Not to mention family tradition and religious beliefs that factor in. Lets be honest here why in the hell would you send your kid to Oak Hills if they were a good football player? Especially, with the GCL schools so close. Oak Hills simply has not been dedicated to winning football games over time and that losing tradition is something kids do not want to be a part of.
