GB regulars... if you live in AZ you're in trouble

Not at all unique to Az. These are businesses. They are going to do what brings in money and doesn't offend advertisers.

Hey East... did you get a ban too, or is "Cracker" an acceptable racial slur to Yappi? :thumb:

I don't think I used it in a name-calling fashion? Did I? Oops.

Besides, there are like ten "Eastisbests" sharing this account and seven of them are complete idiots. I may or may not be one of those seven but I don't want to get accusatory. I think I'm the only one that posts on the DB though so if I used the word to call someone a name, I'm sorry.

Its a funny word really, not like the "n" word. I mean, why the heck in the world should someone take offense at being called that? It doesn't have any meaning. It sounds like someone just made it up. As a kid, I called someone "xenon" because I'd read it was a foul smelling inert gas. I thought it was a good joke but the kid was upset and he didn't even know what xenon is.

It's not nice to call people names so the next time I call you a "moron," I'm only describing the color of your shirt, okay?

Happy New Year!

I thought cracker was supposed to refer to the crack of a whip. Both names are meant as derogatory names

BCB or whoever deleted my response this is a coward.

You DID use it in a name calling fashion. "Robertson is a cracker if there ever was one". You called the man a cracker. It's offensive to some whites, the way the N word is to some blacks. Again, racism against whites seems to be perfectly acceptable to the powers that be in Yappi land.

oops You think I should write him an apology?

though I don't actually know and have never met any white person that took anything but fake umbrage by it, I suppose everything is offensive to "some." It's not nice to call people "names."

I seem to know more that wear it as a badge of honor, meaning "down to earth" or maybe less favorable, "earthy" but Most people just laugh at it. What exactly is it supposed to mean?

It's pointless, eastisbest. The guy things the word cracker is equal to the N-word

It is. Who are you to decide what is offensive and to whom? A racial slur is a racial slur. You're the kind of guy that thinks rape isn't really rape if you know the girl.

"Oh, quit your cryin'. It's only "date rape". It's not like you were REALLY raped."
