Most adults have experienced these situations. We realize that not all teachers, counselors, coaches, etc are great at their jobs. This goes for any school or even any work place. But the fact is that most people who complain about a coach are disgruntled due to something personal that happened to them in their sport, such as being cut or benched or whatever.
For instance, I didn't hear a lot of people complaining about Coach Hertler this season even though we were in the midst of our worst season ever. Most people realized that he was the same coach who led us to a 10-0 season the year before and that a team sometimes just doesn't have it. However, I did hear first hand, several parents of players complain quite vocally. They were disgruntled because their kids weren't playing enough or not getting the ball enough, etc. It was personal to them and they had to blame someone for their kid's lack of ability. It is typical in our "me" society today and ironically even happens when a team is having a great year.
So when an adult hears a high school student complain about a coach, because of past experience, we often times assume that the kid disagreed with a decision made by the coach that affected that kid personally on the court or field. In the cases mentioned above, I certainly hope that if Monty is not doing his job in the school, that these kids reported it to the principal. But you'd have a hard time convincing me that he's not doing his job in the gym.
thats odd, because i remember a long time ago having a discussion with you about football and i thought i remembered you saying you played footballVik:Lips said:

Srixon, please learn the difference between "know" and "no". I doubt any college would accept you if you don't know the difference.......no matter who you counselor is.
Hey Fritz,Fritz said:....you can use his name and you can say anything you want to say about him AND you can remain anonymous. I would invite all those on here that have ripped Monty apart to post their REAL names and then we can all have a true discussion about him.
they why did you say you played 3 sports as a sophmore, if you forget than maybe this will refresh your memory http://www.yappi.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39730&perpage=30&pagenumber=2Vik:Lips said:Banger 110
I never said I played "High School" Football.
No-one is screaming about Montgomery as a coach. Yes, complaints have been filed about him as a "teacher" with the Principal.
To the person who graduated from Hoover and never met with his advisor: Don't lie. Just send us your name with your W-2.
I bet your a great success expecially if you still live here.
