and Wakerly has his teams set for the next few years with new recruits arriving every year. :shrug:Sorry guys, wrong on both accounts. Football and track. Although I've had several dealings with Montgomery. More last year than this year. He's an a**. Most of the people at school feel the same way. Including most of his players. I only know Wackerly and his program by his recruits. They're all great girls but I'm not sure that's the way to build a local program.

When I finally got to see him it was obvious he had more important things to do, like basketball. Must be why they moved him out. Hopefully if I play my cards right and study hard in college I will too one day have the privlidge of being called a "success" counselor.
I will say that you are TOTALLY wrong srixon. Mr Montgomery has been the counselor for two of my kids that have graduated. He did a great job in counseliing them. He got one placed in a better school by having my kid submit certain essays and used certain contacts to get the kid accepted. So from my ACTUAL experience with him, he has done a GREAT job and the job he was hired to do. So I might suggest you quit sucking on sour grapes and placing blame on some one else. It may help you succeed better in life.
Knowone's sucking on sour grapes, 6kings asked what I thought of Montgomery. I told him MY experience. I'm way past having to deal with him. In life, when you figure out that someone is incompetent, you avoid them and do the work yourself. I've been accepted at three highly regarded schools so far and I'm waiting on the forth.

I'd like to know who your children are because they are one of the few who Monty has helped. He was my adviser for two years and when I met with him all I got was talk about basketball. It's a difference like night and day with the individual I have now. I know of others who feel the same way. Also, it's strange that he helped your kids get into college the last two years since he had primarily Freshmen, Sophomores, and some Juniors the last 2 years.

When my kids graduated they used him as per the school. I am not sure why a senior would have him if he was a Frosh counselor.
I guess what I am saying is that people get on a site like Yappi and grump and moan about a person....you can use his name and you can say anything you want to say about him AND you can remain anonymous. I would invite all those on here that have ripped Monty apart to post their REAL names and then we can all have a true discussion about him.
I have found over the years that those that like to grump will do it when they feel that they will have no chance of personal responsibility for what they say.
We are not talking about a coach's play decision here, we are on a witch hunt to destroy a man's credibility and his name.

I played baseball, basketball, and football in Little League, the Y, and Youth Football. I am physically challenged. But my brain works and I know when someone if out for themselves. Fritz - I have know problem telling you my name, after graduation. Monty can still make life miserable for me and the rest of the students on here. I would suggest we get together in a forum, invite those in the community that have somthing to say, including the school board, principal, AD, teachers, counselors, parents and students. You may need to rent the Community Center.
We all know nothing would be accomplished by this and the younger students and parents wouldn't speakout for fear of retribution.

Oh grow up! I am with Fritz. I went to Hoover my counsler would not have even known my name at graduation. She was not even a coach. It is becoming the norm at north canton, people want winning programs but when the Coach raises the bar and shows the students and the parents what it takes to compete with the states best, these kids and parents hide behind their computers and raise ****. Look at the wrestling program. As for Coach M. is conserned sometimes you have to be an a-hole to get the fire under some of the spoiled rotten kids we have at times, to even compete with a kid with a blue collar work ethic like a kid from say McKinley who has never had anything given to them in thier lives. In case anyone cares other than Vik:Lips. I think the Hoover freshman team is playing for the Federal League Championship Saturday the 5th. The game is at 1:00 PM against McKinley at Lake High School.

I think that the original question of this thread has been answered. I know there are a lot of opinions floating around and we will all have to see how they are resolved. Having seen the Freshman play and looking at the roster, there is a lot of good basketball to come at NC.

I never said I played "High School" Football.
No-one is screaming about Montgomery as a coach. Yes, complaints have been filed about him as a "teacher" with the Principal.
To the person who graduated from Hoover and never met with his advisor: Don't lie. Just send us your name with your W-2.
