Saturday, March 19 from 12:30 - 5:00.
Amherst Steele High School

This date change was made to accommodate more athletes during the pre-season. With ASICS help, we are able to bring world-class speakers to educate on a variety of track and field topics. Robert Gary, a two time Olympian will be the keynote speaker. Butch Reynolds, an Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record Holder will also be one of our 20 outstanding clinicians. Many of the sessions will offer a “learn by doing” format including sprints, distance, hurdles, relays, field events, injury prevention, strength/flexibility, neuroplasticity, and nutrition, so come dressed to participate! There will also be a session for parents and interested athletes about college track and field recruiting and scholarship negotiation.

This clinic is FREE to all attendees, including junior high and high school athletes, coaches, parents and fans of track and field. In addition to world-class athletes and coaches, we will have FREE snacks/drinks, autograph session, and competitions with prizes and giveaways.

There will also be a concurrently-run coaches clinic, in which collegiate coaches will exclusively educate coaches on coaching techniques and answer questions.

Additionally, there will also be a state-mandated Coaches/Officials Rules Interpretation meeting by Dale Gabor and a FREE PAP Sports Medicine class offered before the Clinic.

Coaches that attend and bring a minimum of 15 athletes will also receive a FREE ASICS backpack or duffel bag filled with ASICS merchandise, information AND receive $1000 towards the purchase of ASICS warm-ups and/or uniforms for their team. Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 8th for this promotion, which is also available the day of the Clinic.

Registration will be at www.CometClinic.com. We anticipate large numbers at this event and encourage coaches to arrange busing for your athletes. Buses should park in the South lot near the stadium. Also, please forward this message to junior high coaches or anyone you feel would be interested in attending.

Please see www.CometClinic.com for more information, schedule, a video montage from 2015, raffle information and pictures from last year’s event.

We are very excited about this event and hope to see you and your team on Saturday, March 19 from 12:30 to 5:00pm! Attendees are welcome to come early for an early Olympian Autograph Session from 11:45am to 12:15pm.
