I noticed this in a local paper in Chicagoland. Did anyone play for this coach when she was in Ohio?
At St. Charles East, Stephanie Scarpelli-Gooden takes the helm after compiling a sterling record of 223-65 during 11 years of coaching both boys and girls teams in her native Ohio.
Scarpelli-Gooden, who was a defensive specialist back in high school (Westerville) and at Capital University, a Division III school in Columbus, guided Gahanna Lincoln High School to a 22-5 mark and its first Elite 8 state tournament appearance in 2005-06.
Scarpelli-Gooden’s Gahanna Lincoln teams sported a 56-19 record and produced 13 all-conference players and 7 all-district players in three seasons.
