Former Bexley High School boys soccer coach Jim Daugherty has resigned as coach of the boys team at Dublin Coffman to pursue a coaching opportunity in Indiana.

Daugherty, who teaches math at Grove City, did not go into details about the position, saying nothing is official.

In his only season at Coffman, the Shamrocks finished 15-3-1 after losing to Hilliard Davidson 2-1 in a Division I regional final.

Under Daugherty, the Bexley boys team was 51-9-5 overall with three MSL-Ohio titles from 2004-06. In 2005, Bexley defeated Bay Village Bay 2-1 in a shootout in the Division II state final, and in 2006 the Lions lost to Kettering Alter 1-0 in overtime in a state semifinal.
