First MHPR Rankings Published

MHPR Rankings Posted (DI/DII, DIII & NAIA)

There are still a few schools who do not have enough results in the database but I have published the first round of the Middle Hitter Pablo Rankings (MHPR). The more scores entered the better the comparison. This first ranking is limited to DI/DII schools. I will publish DIII and NAIA rankings starting next week once additional match results are entered into the database. Several DIII and NAIA schools are just beginning their seasons resulting in poor comparisons. I will publish this ranking once per week on Monday or Tuesday.

Make sure you read the Pablo FAQ before you go crazy about one team being too high/too low in the ranking.

Share your thoughts on the MHPR.

Once again, thank you Pablo for performing the calculations!

I guess a link would be helpful!

great job redhawk, i dont know if u run the site or are just a messanger but i thoroughly love the info and variety on there.

also a sugestion i have to add to the power rankings table is the actual AVCA rankings. just be a fun contrast to the power ranking and coaches rankings.

Keep up the good work!

I like your idea. It may be awhile before I can do it though. It is a real struggle keeping up with all of the scores, news updates, etc... during this peak time of the men's season. I do this on my leftover free time and there isn't much time left at the moment! ;)

February 26th MHPR Rankings Published

This week's MHPR should cause a little conversation. The MHPR has UCI ranked #1 over Pepperdine at #2! The difference is only by 25 basis points.

Remembering the MHPR is a mathematical calculation, it saw last weeks Pepperdine wins over lowly Stanford and formerly #9 UOP as less powerful as UCI's wins over formerly #3 UCSB and #10 CSUN.

You should also note that this is the second week in a row where there is a combined DI/DII/DIII and NAIA rankings list.
