Expanding upon the thread by OnceARunner, Connor Ackley (Hilliard Davidson) took down the 45 year old Ohio HS record of 8:53.6 MT by the legendary Austintown Fitch great Alan Scharsu. Ackley's performance gained him 7th in a hot race on the fast track @ Boston. Scharsu's old all-time best was set in placing 2nd at the old Knights of Columbus meet in the now defunct Richfield Coliseum.
