We welcome everyone’s top 10, including the AP, as they requested a delay in posting due to not knowing any teams outside their coverage area.

Could you imagine this if it was football?

SVSM and Centerville likely have the two best wins in the state, Sierra Canyon and Huntington Prep, and they're probably under-ranked because of it. Those wins are assigned the same value as any other out of state team. Obviously, out of state teams are really difficult to account for, but it's definitely a blind spot in the system.

All of these things are guesses. Nothing more, nothing less. Strength of schedule is a guess. Assignments of wins over a higher or lower division or teams from out of state ... guesses. Any poll, computerized RPI, whatever are just guesses. I have never , ever understood or put any faith in them. Hell I have guesses. Anyone care to hear mine. Of course not. Why would they?

Its all part of the fun. We dwell over the smallest details in the Yappi football polls. Are you saying we can't have a simple discussion about who are the best basketball teams? That rating basketball teams is somehow different? And yes...I'd like to hear yours. Would you like to hear mine?

I am certainly not suggesting that you do not discuss it. I do not and shall not dwell on polls of any kind not matter the sport etc. But I would not think of suggesting that others do not do it or enjoy it. I simply posted that I do not understand why they do. That is a me thing not a you/them thing.

Hard to take any ranking serious with no pick central. Only losses Spire, Centerville and 2 out of state teams
They obviously don't take into account the level of competition for losses. It'll be interesting to see how PC does vs. Cathedral (IN champs who beat Centerville) @ FTH Invitational on Monday.
