District Meets

The D1 boys team race in the Central and Southwest District are a foregone conclusion. However with the changes in the north, both the Northwest and Northeast D1 boys should have very competitive meets. Look for a battle between Solon, Hudson, Mayfield and North Canton Hoover for the Northeast title. In the Northwest, Strongsvile, St.F, Ignatius, Findlay and St. Eds could all be in the hunt. Moving the Lakewood sectional to the Northwest looks to have benefitted both districts. It certainly has gone a long way to balancing all the districts. While the Southwest is still the fastest top to bottom, now there is reasonable parity in the other districts. And although they're not as deep as the Southwest, all the districts are pretty even at the top. Should be some very close racing this week end.

The NW district is going to be a dogfight. It has went from being the least competitive to the most competitive district, with maybe more top 8 swimming talent than any other district. It will be interesting to see how many swimmers make it to the state meet from each district.
