Repository Athlete of the Week: Mark Henniger
Jackson High School, senior, basketball
CREDENTIALS Henniger, a 6-foot-8 senior post, led the Polar Bears to a second-place finish at the San Diego Surf ‘N Slam tournament last week, averaging 26 points and 12.3 rebounds in the three games. He totaled 34 points and 13 rebounds in an overtime win vs. Mount Si (Wash.) to highlight his tournament. The Kent State recruit averages 23.3 points on 64 percent shooting, 10.9 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots for the Polar Bears.
