Congratulations State Champions!

Just wondering what places get a police/ firetruck escort when they leave for the game or return with a title or is it just the small towns that do it?

Pick Central had a police escort leaving town for the semifinal and championship games.

Despite a few lopsided scores, was a great weekend. Trotwood-Mansfield & Elder-Pick on Friday were great games! My buddy & I walked out and said we felt like we'd had an entire weekend of football just watching those 2.

Anna the most dominant teams of the weekend, but LaSalle wasn't too far behind.

Clyde probably best "story" coming in and didn't disappoint. Always love it when an "AP unranked" team wins. Know it happened last year too.

Having watched 5 of the 7 state championship game I came away with a couple conclusions .... first it is about players and execution ... scheme only matters so as far as it matches your ability ... you can win a state championship running just about any offense or defense ... as long as you have good players and execute efficiently!!!

Finally, congratulations to all teams involved ... you had a great season ... win or lose there is nothing to be ashamed of ... don't downplay the difficulty of what you accomplished ... it is truly special to get to play in a State Championship game.

Massillon thought they were getting a police escort... but it turned out they were just coming after one of their players... (Sorry! Couldn't resist!)
