Regarding the suspension, he ignored a directive from the AD. In most jobs I know, ignoring a directive from your superior and knowingly and willingly doing the opposite, typically results in termination. He was just suspended and allowed to come back and keep coaching. I was also told he interviewed for multiple other jobs while he was coaching at DP. Now, is this the complete truth - Doubt it, but if you look at the big picture, Its hard to argue him staying if most of it's true. He also seemed to have an entire new coaching staff every year on the sideline. That's another red flag imo.
Overall, I think the situation is really not much different than when Tony left Indian Hill. Too many small things, that over time, became big issues.
Big question is who replaces him? DP is a situation, imo, like a mini Colerain. Similar population, SES, etc. If you get the right person, you can have a really successful program. But like Colerain, you see what happens if it's not the right person.
