Catch the ball!!!

I did not get to go to the game Friday night, however I did watch the replay on TV. All I can say is that I am quite disturbed by the absolute meltdown of our passing game in the first 3 quarters. Specifically, the ineptness displayed by Hoover's wide receivers. Did anyone count how many WIDE OPEN passes were dropped? Just dropped!!! Is this how a respected Div. I team plays? There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Hoover should have won that game. Louisville was not playing their best football. This would have been a two or three touchdown win for Hoover had we occassionally CAUGHT THE BALL! This is absolutely unacceptable and as Hoover fans, we should expect that this will be corrected ASAP. Fundamentals and dicipline are the reason Hoover has been so great in the past. We have disipline, but the fundamentals have been a serious problem lately, especially with our receivers. What does everyone else think? Am I being too harsh?

The receceivers need to start hanging on to the ball. I think they will too, Feinberg played his --- off in the second half. They need to look for Benko more too. I think that Louisville is the 3rd best team in the county behind Mck and Mass. I see us finishing 7-3 or 8-2.

I agree with everything you posted.

Louisville is 3rd, NW 4th and us probably 5th.

Benko catches everything, how about that 2 point conversion, LOL.

The paper said 8 drops, although I think it was more like 12. The paper said Nettleton threw it 50 times, although TV and radio said 45. I'd agree with the latter.

Next up is Boardman and the team needs to keep its focus. This could be a blowout (4+tds) for Hoover if they come ready. It also could be alot closer (2tds or less) if they turn it on and off.

I agree. Boardman is, at best, horrible. They have not won a single game since Sept. of '03. This should be a big time blow out and a confidence booster for the Vikings. Time to blow someone out of the water like old times!
