I have always supported a balanced budget and support the party that al least talks about doing it instead of supporting a party that gives me no hope.

All politicians tell you what you want to hear. You just prefer what the Dems are telling you. The Dems are no more honest than the Rs. Anyone who thinks Ds are more honest, is a fool.

Obama, yes. Biden, not really. When Biden took office, markets were at record or near record levels. When Biden took office, manufacturing sector unemployment was at 4.7%, only 0.6% higher than the pre pandemic level. This was from the latest data from the Federal Reserve in February, so I would believe it’s solid. Those typically are decent paying middle class jobs.

Of course, the service sector added to that makes the overall unemployment level much higher, but unless those workers decide to go do something different, they will be unemployed until the restrictions are lifted. He has a good foundation to start from. Much better than Obama.

What's really said is these people bubbling with joy(e.g. Happier) don't realize there is no such thing as FREE MONEY. We'll all be paying for this for years to come. DC is broke and Happier seems to love it that way.
 
If masks are so crucial to ending the pandemic, why are not N95 masks for everyone included in the stimulus? It would be a much smaller ticket item than a bridge to Canada or tunnels through Silicon Valley.
 
I would like to get a few N95 at the before pandemic prices to use in the wood shop. At one time I could not even find any to buy at any price. Hate filling my nose and lungs with bad for you wood dust.

How did conservative republicans pass a $2.3 trillion bogus "middle class tax reform", the 2019 CARES Act, and December Covid bill, with no conservative republican support? Seriously, don't bother answering.

I am all for unity but it is pretty clear, just like last time, pubs will strategically & unanimously vote NO against any stimulus bill that may help the country economically while a Dem is POTUS. Hopefully (albeit sadly) Biden and more moderate dems realize that soon. Fool me once...
 
I think if Congress would have passed a COVID bill that provided a stimulus check for those that need it and assistance to small and medium size business negatively impacted that bill would pass with 95% approval. The pork in the current bill should have been saved for the Infrastructure bill we’ve been talking about for years not jammed into a COVID Relief bill. 9% of 1.9 Trillion going for Covid assistance. It’s shameful.

It is stimulus that grows the economy...the GQP is just afraid the economy will recover too quickly post pandemic and they will have to run against Joe success with getting us back to normal. Hence the attacks on voting rights.
 
So I guess if you agree with this stimulus... giving free money to people with incomes as a married couple up to $150k you agree with socialism ......or trickle down economics. Sorry it’s one it the other.

The Dems want to pass this so they can claim credit for an already recovering economy. Giving free money always a vote winner
They’ll ignore the inflationary pressure and rising interest rates blaming that on Trump Bush or Reagan.....never gets old

Trump wanted a clean stimulus bill for the people only. He called out how much pork they stuck in it and that they were holding our money hostage to get their big money special interest payoffs.
The dems are counting on your ignorance again...throwing the peasants a bone to distract while gorging on prime rib with their cronies.
