Actually things didn’t change, the “science” did however. You do realize that 50 years is nothing when compared to the age of the earth. It’s like being concerned that at 5pm today the temperature is 20 degrees warmer than it was at 5am.

Sounds like you're making an argument that supports increased concern for climate change, if change is occurring so drastically in a short amount of time.

Change isn't occurring drastically. And no, it isn't a poor analgy. The earth is 5 billions years old, no one with a brain looks at 50 years worth of weather data and thinks something is changing drastically. Many ciatations have been made on this topic, you just haven't been here for these discussions.
