Yes, he played QB in first game.
Man, that was a smart change. Totally different team.Yes, he played QB in first game.
While I think that was funny, it does beg the question that the two teams in the finals look a different than other school/teams in the league, however nothing will change. Unlimited new players and combinations will continue to increase.Good one!
OL Victory/St Dominic Varsity also won D2 over GA.Congratulations to the Westside teams who won GCYL titles over the weekend. Keep these kids playing!
St. Antoninus/St. Teresa Varsity
St. Ignatuis/St. Bernards Reserve
OL Victory/St. Dominic Pony
Visitation Reserve
Neither of those teams have over 60 players. But neither does Cov Cath or SMOY.They don't look any different than St James or QOP. Both of those teams have 60+ players.
We all know what is happening.
Thanks I didnt see the final posted CongratsOL Victory/St Dominic Varsity also won D2 over GA.
They added John 23rd from Middletown. They no longer had the numbers for football. Bit a couple of kids also play for St. Susana.Mikes has been a model program over the last 4-5 years and the coaches are well liked from what I hear. I do think they added another parish a few years back near middletown or south of that area that brought in some new players.
What visitation games did you go to last yearSorry….Victory - Traynor
I dont know that you can say they are club teams. The reality is the same thing happens on the westside. How is Victory combining with Dominic, Williams, Lawrence, Holy Family, and Res. any different than St. Mikes combining with St. Gabriel, Mother Theresa, St. Max, etc?... I think it speaks more to the demographics and enrollments at the Westside catholic schools vs East/North. I do think there is some areas where the league could balance teams better. St. James getting teams from Harrison to Winton Rd is a little ridiculous, but overall I know the rosters were reviewed this year by parish and school so the league did more due diligence this year than probably the last 5 years. The lack of leadership is why the league is in this spot. They let Cov Cath, Queen of Peace and mikes join even though they are club teams. So then schools like Smoy, CPS, and James have followed their lead to keep up with them. The league needs to make some tough decisions quickly.
Are either of them considering Elder? Usually don't get many kids from James. A lot more from Ignatius lately though. Is James the team to beat this year?
