How is Sonny Styles not listed? Did I miss something? He was a major reason they won the D1 Championship. Second team at a minimum

Why do they select 10+ players for each of the1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams? Years back you could look at the 3 teams and get an idea of who sportswriters/coaches think are the 15 best players in that division. IMO, now it is still an achievement to be selected, but a watered down one.

All of this is honorary and highly subjective. Who can quantify and prove that everybody on the first team is better than everybody on the second team? If it could be quantified other than reaching the state championship, who's to say the best coach this season wasn't someone who took a team that should have gone 5-18 and somehow squeezed a 13-10 record out of them and lost in its first tournament game? Is the 158th-rated player in ESPN's Top 300 really better than No. 159 and not as good as No. 157? On the college level, were all of the coaches in the Final Four really better than Shaheen Hollaway (late of St. Peter's, now with Seton Hall)? Yes, recruiting is part of coaching but look at the comparative resources he had to work with (vs., say, Kentucky).
