West Carrollton is solid too but Wayne has Bree Halls younger sister as a freshman and fairmont has an overall strong freshman class with another D1 kid and a bunch of D2 kids

Crazy how Lakota West was contending for the regional title every year for a good run and now is struggling to be a decent team. Losing Carlton must have been a bigger factor than the higher ups anticipated.

Not so tonight. Mason wins 54-48. Both teams shot poorly from the field. Both under 30 percent. The difference was at the foul line. Mason shot 34 free throws hitting 26. Princeton shot just 10 free throws hitting 7. Princeton was called for 24 fouls to just 11 for Mason.

24 personal fouls on one team is absurd for a college game, nevermind a 32 minute high school game.
 
Unfortunately extreme fouling is becoming more and more common with continued summer/club ball mentality.
West Clermont win vs Lakota East last week
50 total fouls: WC (20), Lakota East (30)

That’s more than 1.5 fouls a minute, A foul every 35-40 seconds.
If my math is correct. :oops:

ANYONE that has attended AAU/Summer/Club tournaments knows those games are basically a different sport than HS basketball.
 
Stats show Prows did not play for Mason vs Colerain yesterday.
After big game vs Princeton earlier in week.

Anyone know if she’ll be available for big GMC matchup Mason @ Lakota East Wednesday?
That would be a big loss for Mason and could really make things tight in GMC this season.
East gave Mason only GMC loss @ East LY

She should be back. Regardless, Mason should win. Don’t forget Prows didn’t play a whole 2nd half of the season last year and Mason still made it to the State Finals. Granted, Mason lost a big piece (6’5” Center), but they will still have the best player(s) on the floor in this matchup without big girl or Prows.

Throw 2-4 in a blender.
East definitely has Mason's number. 2 years in a row win vs Mason @ East.
Big point: All big wins for top teams were on Home courts this season.
East did beat Springboro (probably should have lost; down 7 with under 50 secs and 'Boro stud Center missed layup at buzzer) on road and Mason beat Springboro handily on Neutral.

Strange schedule with most big games real early or real late this season.

Scheduling quirk for East will make things extremely interesting come seeding for tourney.

Both of those opponents had players in the top 100 rankings, including a top 10 senior committed to Notre Dame.

I noticed Princeton just beat Oak Hills by 40 without Sole Williams. Saw a picture online of her getting honored at the game for scoring 1000 career points. No casts or boots. Hopefully her absence is brief.
