Every Coach in our area including Price, CK, Ryan Flemming, Goedde, Nozka are at gyms where 7th and 8th grade kids are playing. Also players transfer all the time. It doesn't mean they were recruited there. It literally happens everywhere.
Bc they’re not allowed to do that and you just called him a grade school recruiter, so you verified what I said. That’s what bothers me, everyone is scared to say the quiet part out loud bc they don’t want to upset Moe fans. Who gives a F? All that said, I hope Williams is trying to get him to Elder. They could be a solid inside out duo.
The only thing you’ve said in the recent past that makes sense is going after Fleming’s son to replace JS. You’ve got that right.
Get proof and turn it into the OHSAA. Like I said, that’s why this “brotherhood” is bogus. If you can burn the other schools, do it.Recruiting is absolutely going on everywhere. I’ve seen it with my own eyes even down on the reserve level for football. Honestly who is going to “enforce” all these rules when nearly everyone is doing it? IMO it’s not even a big deal.
OHSAA won’t do anything if everyone is doing it. They should just legalize it IMO. They’d need to spend 24/7 on this stuff just to get a hold of it in the Cincy area. It’s just the nature of the beast these days.Get proof and turn it into the OHSAA. Like I said, that’s why this “brotherhood” is bogus. If you can burn the other schools, do it.
I’ve seen the kid play a few times as they played right after our game. The games I’ve seen there had to have been 10 high school coaches there. Saw coaches from X, LaSalle and Moeller the last time he played. I assume Elder isn’t a factor for him?
Moeller got caught breaking the rules in football a few yrs ago. I’m not being snarky, any proof you can get, turn it into the OHSAA. “Brothers” don’t try to break the rules to get a competitive advantage.OHSAA won’t do anything if everyone is doing it. I don’t know. I didn’t see Lourdes play last year. It was just a coincidence that I saw them play this year because we played a few times before they did. I have no idea what kind of level of prospect he is but he’s definitely getting interest from high school’s.Did this kid play for Lourdes last yr? I’m not very plugged into the Grade School scene but the only names I heard mentioned were Walters and Williams.
If the kid is truly a national level prospect, I’d suspect Oak Hill and Montverde will be looking at him too.
If Elder coaches aren’t going to the games, they need anyone who might’ve played with him at Lourdes talking to him.

Bc it’s not a brotherhood. All that talk is so cringey and out of touch with reality.I don’t view Moeller or anyone in the GCL as “brothers”. I just know nearly everyone does it these days. It’s really become the norm. Like I said they should just legalize all of it IMO.
Who is the last basketball player in the area to go to an academy like that? Even guys like McMillan and Griffith, who are pretty widely recruited, didn't choose that route. Those Oak Hill and Montverde studs are going to the Blue Chips and the area doesn't produce that kind of talent in basketball like football. If the kid is truly a national level prospect, I’d suspect Oak Hill and Montverde will be looking at him too.
True - but none of those schools were in the category of Montverde or Oak Hill. McMillan and Griffith have NBA potential - Holt and McKracken, although good players, will never sniff the NBA level, much less high level D1. Not sure McKracken went to a prep school, I think he just moved out of town with his family and went to a normal high school his senior year, but I may be wrong.McMillian actually went to a prep school in Arizona i believe over the summer and fall before transferring back and Holt from turpin a few years back reclassified and went to a prep school in Virginia i believe and McKrakken From Moe went to a prep school in NC last year.
Turpin only lost by 3 to Walnut Hills and WH is very good. This won’t be an easy game at all.tonight is both a revenge game and trap game for the panthers and with Keller still out I think Busam needs to have another stellar game. he has been the most underappreciated player on the team. JJ Busam keep it up.
McBride brothers too. Also, if we’re talking Bacon transfers, Alec Pfriem.
They are cousins, not brothers.McBride brothers too.
while busam's performance may be crucial, I still stand by my previous take that Kirch will serve as both the x factor and the deciding factor in this contest. His play can either elevate this team to a new level or render them relatively mediocre. We'll see soon enough if Jack Kirch is up to the task tonight.tonight is both a revenge game and trap game for the panthers and with Keller still out I think Busam needs to have another stellar game. he has been the most underappreciated player on the team. I know you guys are just playing around during school hours, but in all honesty I think Browne coming along the past few games has really helped the Panthers. In the tournament down in Ashland, he had a couple 8 and 10 games. Had another vs. Moeller. He's just a matchup problem because of his size since he can step out and hit 3s and if he gets a smaller defender he can finish inside. Having Kirch back, looking fully healthy is also helping the depth of the frontcourt.while busam's performance may be crucial, I still stand by my previous take that Kirch will serve as both the x factor and the deciding factor in this contest. I for one am not messing around during school hours (as I am not in school Im an adult). I joined this chat forum to have intellectual basketball conversations. And while we are on the topic of Kirch, Ive heard recently that he injured his knee during practice this week, and wont even be playing against Turpin. Without going into detail, Ive heard the injury could be rather serious...I know you guys are just playing around during school hours, but in all honesty I think Browne coming along the past few games has really helped the Panthers. Were they all at the same game? Just curious. I was told if the Catholic high school hosts the game/tournament, other coaches cannot be there. If the game/tournament is at a grade school, fair game for anyone. It’s why the Catholic high schools volunteer their gym to host various games; most host a tournament as well.I’ve seen the kid play a few times as they played right after our game. The games I’ve seen there had to have been 10 high school coaches there. Saw coaches from several GCLS and GCLN schools the last time they played. I assume Elder isn’t a factor for him?

i hear he wasn't playing but isn't serious and should be 100 for lasalle friday but once again proving my point Busam is going to have to have a big game to win and i believe he can do itI for one am not messing around during school hours (as I am not in school Im an adult). stop arguing about some gradeschool kid nobody caresWere they all at the same game? Just curious. I was told if the Catholic high school hosts the game/tournament, other coaches cannot be there. My point exactly, looks like browne will have to play a much larger role over these next few weeks to make up for kirch's absence.i hear he wasn't playing and it is very very serious and wont be ready for lasalle friday
If Elder doesn't offer reduced tuition or scholarship help then these kids will go elsewhere. That's the bottom line. It doesn't bother me one way or the other. You continuously talk bout how Elder should be "marketing" kids from areas outside their normal demographics. If a kid is really talented such as Duncan at Teresa and Sir from Lourdes they are going to go to a school that is going to pay for their education. The question is does Elder want to do that for athletically gifted kids or not...You keep using “recruiting.” What you should say is marketing. If coaches are allowed to go to games as observers, then Elder is behind the 8 ball and needs to step up. I understand, they’re understaffed, but if that’s the case JS, needs to be making appearances.
Im all for doing the absolute most within the rules to get this kid to Elder. I’m not for making promises to parents or offering reduced tuition.
He was not at Lourdes last year. You always debate from one extreme to another. Why are you even bringing schools like Oak Hill into the conversation? Kids that go to those schools generally play a year or two of high school ball and then transfer to an Oak Hill. Nobody said anything about him being a National level prospect. I clearly said that if he gets to 6'10 or so I could see him being big time D1.Did this kid play for Lourdes last yr? Bazely and Griffith and other from this area were good enough to go the big time prep school route. This area produces a lot of big time talent. You just hear about football more because of all the schollys that are offered. Basketball gets like 12 total.True - but none of those schools were in the category of Montverde or Oak Hill. I'm just saying that if this kid is good enough to go to Oak Hill and is playing in the westside Catholic league, people would have heard about him because he'd be unstoppable. Kids that good don't play in the Catholic grade school leagues. That doesn't mean any of the local high schools wouldn't be thrilled to get him.
Big time D1 to me means Duke, UNC, UK, Kansas, etc. They pull kids from Oak Hill all the time.He was not at Lourdes last year. You always debate from one extreme to another.
