Barberton will need to cut down on mistakes. Last nights game could have easily been 40-0 at halftime.

Aurora looked sound. The offense will get better as the season moves forward. Sophomore QB is going to be good. Poised in the pocket and tough. Strong arm.

Aurora and Barberton looked like the two best teams after week one. The Highland score was surprising.

Barberton by 21.5 over Stow
Medina by 20.5 over Highland
Aurora by 18.5 over CVCA

Who are the other games?

If Barberton beats Stow by that margin, it's another perfect league season for the Magics.

I know Kent plays Marlington and Revere plays Eastlake North

Copley and Tallmadge?

Aurora by 2 tds over CVCA

We are a little better this year than most people think. Depth will be the issue. I'm glad we scheduled this game the last 2 years. Most schools our size want anything to do with a school with the tradition of Aurora. Hopefully its a well played game and free of injury.

My prediction is not meant to be disrespectful to CVCA. I could certainly be wrong too. Last year's game was a thriller. I believe Aurora is better on the lines this year than they were last year and I know CVCA lost Tucker. That is the basis for the prediction. Should be great game.

Copley and Tallmadge?
Stow will shoot themselves in the foot. Last year they finished strong but had problems with personal fouls. Barberton is good enough to have a running clock on them, I was being conservative.

Your posts are always classy and so is your program. I was just making a general statement that we should be as competitive as last year.

Copley hosts Firestone in what has become a staple on their home schedule. Might be their best chance to pull out a win if you look at their schedule. Have added Lake and East in non league games. They will be hard pressed to win a couple league games, w/Revere & Kent being the best opportunities as things look right now.

9/6 Aurora (1-0) at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (1-0)
9/6 Eastlake North (1-0) at Revere (1-0)
9/6 Ellet (1-0) at Tallmadge (0-1)
9/6 Firestone (0-1) at Copley (0-1)
9/6 Marlington (0-1) at Kent Roosevelt (1-0)
9/6 Medina (1-0) at Highland (0-1)
9/6 Stow (1-0) at Barberton (1-0)

Interesting, Aurora is the only road team from the SLA this week. This early in the season, it's tough to make accurate predictions. My guess is the SLA goes 6-1. Highland might be the only loss. Definitely a few close ones.

Aurora beats CVCA. Royals are physical and should make some noise in their region.
The refs were absolutely awful. Cost Aurora at least 2 scores. Almost a penalty on Aurora every big play. Worst I have ever seen. Blatant lateral on a pitch fumbled for scoop and score and ref blows it dead and calls it a forward pass. Game took 3 hours. 19 penalties called against Greenmen.
