2019 Football Opponents' Results

I went and looked up who Cathedral was playing this week and found that they have a bye.

Cathedral Draws First Round Bye in 5-A Football Tournament

The Indiana High School Athletic Association has drawn the pairings for its 47th Annual Football State Tournament. Cathedral will have a week off before beginning post-season play. The Fighting Irish will host Terre Haute South in the second round of Class 5-A Sectional 13 on November 1. The Irish have a 9-1 all-time record against the Braves, but the teams have never met in tournament play.

If Cathedral wins we are lucky they start a week earlier than Ohio.

Even if we win Friday night, we don't get any meaningful points.....but who cares, we need to beat Lasalle and win the GCL

Id guess if Colerain beats Fairfield and X loses to Ignatius, Elder (with two more wins) has a slight chance at the #1 but Im not a harbin expert. Furthermore, I dont think it matters much.

I would rather have the 2 or 3 seeds. Historically the 2 or 3 seems to have an easier path. It doesn't sound right, but if you go back and look historically that 8 seed is usually pretty good.

WW is a great example as to why Elder should always schedule 10 games...WW should be in but not having that 10th game is going to hurt them...nothing is in their control now for week 10

With the CA game, E is basically playing 9 games in the eyes of the Harbins.

Do you even know how the Harbins work? Right now CA is providing more Harbins than Moeller.

Value each team will provide with final numbers. 10 games, and L2 Divisor of 98
4279

Value added after week 9 with 9 games and L2 Divisor of 99 (Before Moeller and X play)

4280

What are you talking about? Even at D7 they've won 6 games. If you got back to that awful Florida team from a few seasons ago, then you have a point.

That season was also terrible bc D1 Oak hills couldn’t win a game...if they would of just won one game that season Elder would of been in the playoffs...regardless 10 games is always preferred over 9 since you don’t know what games you will win to give you enough points in the end...see WW this year....just makes too much sense to continue a 10 game season unless OHSAA changes the Harbin system

And St Francis beat IMG 35-7. They are a football academy.
Yeah, they’ve got an interesting back story. 5 yrs ago, they almost cut football. However, their current coach wrote a 6 figure check to keep the program a float. Even more strange, he used to be the HC at Gilman, which was a rival school in Baltimore. He’s built SFA into such a powerhouse, they were kicked out of their Catholic League in Baltimore. Now, they play a National schedule.

Week 10 (11/1)
  1. Gahanna Lincoln (3-6) - @ Pickerington North
  2. Indianapolis Cathedral (7-2) - vs. Terre Haute North
  3. Clearwater Academy International (6-2) - @ Braden River
  4. St. Edward (8-1) - vs. National Christian Academy (MD)
  5. Ryle (5-5) - KHSAA playoffs - does not count
  6. St. Xavier (7-2) - @ St Xavier (KY)
  7. Moeller (1-8) - vs. RICC/Canada Prep
  8. Winton Woods (6-3) - BYE
  9. Football North (3-6) - @ St Frances Academy (MD)
  10. La Salle (7-2) - vs. Elder

In case anyone was wondering, Ryle's game doesn't count because the OHSAA only takes the first 10 games played by out-of-state opponents--regular season or playoffs. Cathedral (as with all other Indiana schools) only played 9 games in the regular season, so their first playoff game does count.
